2008: First Olympic Games participation… Earned three gold medals at Pan Am track championships… Won Tour de Beauce stage race after finishing second overall in 2005 and 2007… First Canadian to win Tour de Beauce since 1995…Won America Tour Title in 2007… A three-time national time trial champion…National time trial victory in 2004 ended Eric Wohlberg’s eight-year stranglehold on the title…

Has competed in several sports including water skiing, football and running. First cycling road race was at 1999 B.C., provincial championships… Prior to Symmetrics pro teams included Broadmark Capital, Mercury and Prime Alliance. In 2004, took a break from cycling to hike and tour, but returned part way through the season.

His grandfather, Arne Tuft, represented Norway in cross-country skiing at the 1936 Winter Olympics in Germany. Enjoys hiking, running, weight training and freestyle wrestling.
