The Mountain Bike Canadian Championships Live On Webstream
Multiple ways to watch the 2010 Mountain Bike
Canadian Championships in Canmore, Alberta
(Canmore, AB – July 17, 2010) Canadian Cycling
fans will be presented with a multitude of ways to catch
the racing action live this weekend from the cross country
events of the 2010 Mountain Bike Canadian Championships,
including, live results, live webstream and regular
twitter updates.
Tourism Canmore Kananaskis and the Canmore Nordic Centre
are pleased to announce that Adrenaline Garage has been
contracted to provide a live webcast of the 2010 National
Mountain Bike Championships. Adrenaline Garage has produced
huge events, such as Colorado Crankworx in 2009, and
is stoked to bring their expertise to Canmore and cross
country mountain bike racing.
The webcast will be broadcast on Pedal Magazine, Canadian
Cyclist and PinkBike.com, among other sites. There will
be five camera positions on course, including the stadium
(start/finish/lap) and on some of the gnarly new trails
recently constructed by the Canmore Nordic Centre, such
as Eye Dropper, Mad Handler and Laundry Chutes to name
a few.
Live results can be found at www.zone4.ca.
The Canadian Cycling Association will also provide regular
Twitter updates. Follow @CanMTBcycling
DEFENDING CHAMPIONS IN ACTION
Both defending Champions will be in Canmore to defend
their Canadian titles. Catharine Pendrel (Kamloops,
BC) will be defending her title in the Women’s
Elite category and Geoff Kabush (Victoria, BC), who
won the title for the last six Canadian Championships,
will be a tough competitor to beat in the Men’s
Elite race.
Pendrel currently sits in third place of the overall
UCI Mountain Bike rankings, and is ranked at the top
spot of the UCI World Cup rankings. Kabush, Canada’s
top rider, is ranked eighth in the UCI World Rankings.
Earlier in May, Pendrel came out victorious of the World
Cup event in Offenburg (GER).
SPECIAL GUEST
Canadian Cross-country skier Alex Harvey will be taking
part in the action tomorrow at the Cross Country Mountain
Bike Canadian Championships. Harvey, son of Pierre Harvey,

Harvey, who won multiple medals at FIS World Junior
Championships in cross-country, competed twice at the
