Paralympic torch relay – paracylists involved
Ottawa, March 8, 2010 – On day 2 of the Paralympic Torch Relay, last Thursday, Trike rider, Shelley Gauthier was given a one time life experience as she was selected to be a torch bearer.

March 3, 2010 - The CCA is pleased to announce the Athletes for the partially funded Team for the upcoming SX event in Madrid Spain.

March 3, 2010 - Championship athletes (17 year and older) wishing to compete in a UCI BMX Supercross World Cup competitions must register only under the agency of the national federation. 


UCI World Championships and World Cup in Road - Para-cycling Awarded to the Côte Nord
March 2, 2010 - The Canadian Cycling Association (CCA) wishes to offer its most sincere congratulations to Paramanic International, the City of Baie Comeau and the Town of Sept Illes and to all the partners involved for obtaining a stage of the World Cup in Sept Îlles and the UCI World Championships for Road Para-cycling in Baie-Comeau.


2010 Annual General Meeting

February 23, 2010 – The UCI has announced the qualification quotas for the upcoming World Track Championships in Copenhagen March 24-28, 2010. Canada started the international season with a successful Panamerican Championships, setting 1 Pan Am record, 5 Canadian Records, and winning 7 medals.


CCA National Team Camp a Success
February 20, 2010 - For the first time in at least a decade, the Canadian Cycling Association (CCA) held a pre-season camp for members of the national team. The camp, which finishes Sunday (February 21st) brought together road, mountain and one para athlete in Tucson, Arizona.

January 31, 2010 - The Czech Republic finished the Cyclo-cross World Championships on Sunday in Tabor the way they began it, with a very popular home win by Zdenek Stybar in the marquee elite men's race.

January 31, 2010 –The 2010 Cyclo-cross World Championships opened on Saturday with an extremely popular home win at Tabor in the Czech Republic for the Junior men, followed by a dominating 1-2 Polish performance by two brothers in the Under=23 men's race.


Young canadians battle it out on Berlin velodrome
January 28, 2010 – Jacob Schwingboth and Stephen Meyer are currently racing in Berlin at the UIV 6-Day race for the first time as a Madison Team. This is the 99th edition of the Berlin 6-Day and the two Canadians were excited to test out their legs at the German event.


Canadian Cyclo-Cross Team in Czech Republic
January 28, 2010 - The World Championship course opened for official training today. With fresh snow and temperatures still below freezing the course had many icy sections. Riders were going down in corners, downhill, uphill and barrier sections.

Coaching Level 3 Technical,Calgary, Alberta
January 26, 2010 - The CCA is coordinating a Coaching Level 3 Technical Course scheduled to take place in Calgary, Alberta on March 6th-7th 2010. The course will be presented in English by Dan Proulx (MTB national head coach) and Paul Jurbala (Leader in coaching education). This course will also feature new modules from the Competition Development course.

January 23, 2010 – Zach Bell stood on top of the podium for the second time in two days to sing the Canadian national anthem.


Canadians win two medals on first day of racing at Beijing World Cup
January 22, 2010 – The Canadian Track Team competing at the final World Cup woke up to a beautiful sunny day in Beijing, a nice change from the smog they arrived in a few days ago. Eight of the ten Canadians were scheduled to race, including Tara Whitten in the individual pursuit.
